Once upon a time we downloaded these shows and songs into our friendly media medium - now they are being picked off like Old Soldiers...

They sure do seem to be throwing a ton of 1989 at us - I'm guessing its just too easy to pull out those 24 track recordings they made, no matter how well-played they are, and package'em up in some fancy artwork - We seem to get alot of the tours with the multi-track recordings, ie Europe 1972 and Filmore 1969 and most of 1989/1990.

Well It is their shit, so to speak, and we are lucky to have all this other stuff... but :
$70 is alot for 6 rather short discs ( al least the 2nd set discs ) . Not that I want filler form other shows , because that would take THEM out of circulation !
Personally, I don't like the fact that I will be giving them another "Benji green"
for this and the RTs, I don' t have a Ben Frank tree .
The compromise the Band made with us fans, is just that , a compromise , not perfect . At least the RTs series seems to have moves away from the "greatest hits from a whole tour " concept, which a one instant, would take out a whole swath of shows from the archive .
Frankly ( there's Ben again ) I am mostly happy with the official releases, and glad them keep pumping them out, if they were not pumping them out , we would be complaining that they are sitting on the vault .
